We’re not invisible. You just haven’t looked properly.
Our story:
I’m a mum. My 12-year-old daughter is visually impaired. I’ve watched her navigate a world built for sighted people – the awkward pauses, the well-meaning but exhausting questions, the products that either scream “disability” or ignore her completely.
So we started Boldly Unseen. Not as a charity. As a celebration.
Our hoodies, tees, and accessories are designed to be worn with pride. They’re inside jokes for the VI community, and eye-openers for everyone else. Every product includes a QR code that leads sighted people to a quick, honest education about visual impairments – because it shouldn’t always be on VI individuals to explain themselves.
What we believe:
- Humour is a survival skill.
- Awareness without action is just noise.
- The VI community should profit from their own stories (that’s why our future designer program offers real profit share).
The name:
Boldly Unseen – because you don’t need to be seen to be bold. And sometimes, the most powerful people are the ones sighted people overlook.
